In 1992, under the auspices of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in Exile, Tibetans in exile in the United States founded local associations to preserve their culture and language, and to strengthen their religious, cultural and political identity. Part of a diaspora of more than 125,000 Tibetans forced to flee their Chinese-occupied country, Tibetans in the U.S. play a vital role in ensuring the continuity and enrichment of their traditions.  They also serve as witnesses in the West to the violations and atrocities in Tibet, and to the principles of non-violence and compassion.

Our Missions is:

  • To actively promote and support human rights and democratic freedoms in Tibet.

  • To preserve and promote Tibetan Culture, heritage and religion. To liase with and support the Tibetan Government in exile through the Office of Tibet, New York, USA.
